Dublin, Ireland, 28 September 2020 – Orphan Drug Consulting is delighted to welcome Grainne Higgins to its growing international consulting team.
Grainne’s focus will be twofold within Orphan Drug Consulting, both supporting our clients with their Human Resources needs across talent/recruitment/organizational strategy & development; in addition to providing Executive and Leadership coaching to implement best practice to our new client leadership teams. Coupling Grainne’s significant experience to our existing entity establishment services adds to our integration of service and overall value proposition within Orphan Drug Consulting.
Grainne has over 30 years of Human Resources leadership experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to establishing her own Executive coaching and HR Consulting practice, Grainne held the role of Vice President, Human Resources, Global Commercial Operations, for Alexion Pharmaceuticals, based in Zurich, CH. Grainne also acted (ad interim) as Chief Human Resources Officer for Shire PLC, having joined that company as Vice President, Human Resources Shire HGT in 2003 in Nyon, CH. Grainne began her career with Schering Plough (Merck) and spent 23 years in roles of increasing responsibility within their Global Human Resources function, with periods spent in Ireland, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the US.
Grainne is a graduate of both University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin with a BSocSc (hons) in Social Science and MSc (distinction) in Organizational Behaviour, respectively. Postgraduate studies in Professional Coaching (Certified Professional Coach) and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching) and Executive HR Program (University of Michigan Business School) followed.
